How to help educators understand the role of the teacher as the agent of change

On November 27, teachers of Crafts in Lviv Oblast considered the Concept of the Modern Ukrainian School on a special educational policy course, which proclaims the citizenship responsibility of one of the four cross-cutting lines that must pass through each subject.

Trainer of project DOCCU Liliana Kudrick described the role and functions of a teacher in the context of building a Modern Ukrainian School, on the pedagogy of partnership. Master-trainer of project DOCCU Anna-Maria Bohosvyatska emphasized on the role of modern democratic teacher, talked about the weight of the teacher’s words and teacher’s concern in creating a trusting healthcare-saving educational environment. A series of interactive exercises were conducted to help teachers understand the role of a teacher as an agent of change, to consolidate the skills of a democratic style of pedagogical communication.
