Recently, an important stage of training for the heads of education departments of the Odesa region has been completed in the Avanhardivka Urban Village Council. Fifty-two territorial communities joined it.
The training took place under the Decentralized Management of Education in Territorial Communities under the Legal Regime of Martial Law advanced training program within the framework of the DECIDE Swiss-Ukrainian project in partnership with the National Agency of Ukraine for Civil Service and the Agency for Regional Development of Odesa Region.
Participants were able not only to gain useful knowledge but also to share experiences, discuss important issues and find new opportunities for the development of education in their territorial communities. Participants of the seminar also visited the Prylymanskyi Lyceum, where, within the framework of the «DECIDE: RECONSTRUCTION» initiative, they repaired the school shelter and created an educational centre.
Our participants developed and presented detailed educational profiles of their territorial communities. The training also included participation from the heads of territorial communities and the special commission of local councils for short-term advanced training programs. Leaders of more than 50 territorial communities of the oblast joined us!
The final stage of the training was participation in public discussions of the reform of specialized secondary education with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science, the regional administration and the regional council.
